It's been brought to my attention that I haven't blogged in awhile. So I guess less than a week is considered "awhile". What's really funny about that is the fact that the person that said that to me hasn't blogged in like 3 months.

Moving on, there's really not much new. As an update on my mom, she came home from the hospital Sunday morning. They kept her an extra night because she became nauseated and had a little bit of a fever, and they wanted to make sure that she that it wasn't related to her heart procedure. Turns out she caught the nasty stomach bug that everyone else has had. Just great. But now she's home, just trying to take it easy. What's really scary to think about is that one of her blockages (they found 3) was 99%, meaning 1 more percent and she would've had a heart attack. The doctor also told her that the right side of the heart had actually taken over and was doing all the work for the left side of the heart, too. She said that almost immediately when they repaired the blockages, everything seemed brighter, more colorful...something about getting the blood flowing again, I guess. She said it was just like on the Wizard of Oz, when it goes from black and white to everything being in Technicolor. Anyway, I am now predisposed to having coronary artery disease from both parents. My Dad had triple bypass surgery 4 years ago, and now my Mom's arteries are very badly built up with plaque, and so they are going to aggressively treat her cholesterol to keep it down. Those of you that have seen my parents before know that neither one of them are what you'd call overweight, so it's definitely not a "fat" issue. My Mom inherited it from her dad, which had his 1st bypass surgery at age 42, and then my Dad inherited it from HIS dad, whom also had bypass surgery (not sure what age). So yeah, 2 generations worth of coronary artery disease, coming at me from both sides of the family, yeah, I'd say I'm doomed.

In other news, I don't think I'm at liberty to give out to much information at this time, but something really cool came our way yesterday involving the making of a big movie and a car and a nice chunk of money. But like I said, I can't give too many details right now. Don't you hate that?

Well it's Wednesday, which means we have church tonight, so I need to go start getting ready.
