Sorry it's taken me a coupla days to update, but I've been busy as a bee, er something.
I cleaned my mom's house today, and nearly broke my back sweeping up the leaves on her porch (darn Ficus (sp?) tree!) But at least I got money, which is pretty much spoken for. Sometimes I wish I'd get a large lump sum of unexpected money just so it wouldn't already be "spoken for" before I get it. I mean, our tax refund, which we are still waiting to come in the snail mail, is already spoken for. Every last cent of it. We sat down and wrote out a list of what all we needed/wanted to buy, and divided the money accordingly. Talk about counting your chickens before they're hatched!
I've also been busy practicing piano every day. I am always being given new music to learn, so I spend as much time as I can with two little kids on it.
And from here on out, the rest of the week and weekend are going to be no less busy. They will be busier, actually. Wednesday we have church, which means I'll spend most of the afternoon getting myself and the kids ready, and Michael's clothes ready, then we have to leave the house at 6, then we probably won't get home 'til almost 10, considering we don't have time to get anything to eat until AFTER church.
Thursday I am meeting some of the other ladies from church for lunch, and I also have to get the house cleaned spotless because our Pastor and his wife are coming over for dinner Saturday night. So why can't I just clean the house Friday or earlier Saturday before they come over? Well, Friday we have to go out of town to Meridian, MS to see Michael's grandparents. He has a project to do for his Western Civ. class where he has to interview someone that was involved in WWII, so he is interviewing his step-grandfather. Michael has a long list of in-depth questions for him, and we are going to tape record it and hopefully be able to get this project done. So it's like a 4 and a half hour drive down there. We are taking the kids, which I really dread. I mean, I WANT to take the kids to see his grandmother, considering she's ONLY seen them in pictures. But to make the drive down there and make the drive back in the VERY SAME DAY? That is going to be hard. What I really want to do is either A) keep the kids here, and let Michael make the trip by himself, B) Get someone to keep the kids and me and Michael go down there, or C) Us all go, but spend the night and come back home Saturday. BUT we can't do THAT because the Memphis Tigers football team is having their blue/gray game (offense v. defense) on Saturday at Noon, and there's going to be some tailgating going on, and heaven forbid if Michael misses it. :::SIGH::: So I finally had to bargain with him and say he could choose whether he wants me to go to Meridian or the football game, and he could only choose one, and he chose Meridian. Which is fine because Saturday NIGHT, our Pastor and his wife are coming over for dinner, which means I have to clean the house thoroughly and make a big dinner. And then Sunday of course is Sunday. Come Monday, I'll be dead!!!
I am now going to put on my pajamas, crash on the couch, and pass out. ZZZZZZ
