Michael has gone to the hood to check on the car lot. We weren't home from the Horn Lake Highschool football game for even 10 minutes when his cell phone rang. It was his mom, telling him the alarm at the car lot was going off, and she said she'd give him a little something if he'd go check it out and cut off the alarm. This happens ALL the time (the alarm going off) because they have an electric fence, and something like a bird or a cat brushes against it, and the alarm sounds. So that's where he's at now, and I HATE the thoughts of him being up there right now. That area of town is creepy during the day, and he's out there in it.

So backing up to the football game, I noticed something rather odd. The cheerleaders were so YOUNG looking. I mean, I'm ONLY 24, and those girls looked about 10! Does an adult's perception of one's age change that much? When I was in high school, the cheerleaders I was in school with looked so much older and mature. What's REALLY odd is that I can even get out old yearbooks and those same people still look as mature to me in the pictures now as they did then. So why is it that today's teenagers look so young? I even think teens dressed more mature back then, and now they dress more little-girl-ish? When I was in 7th grade, high-schoolers looked so grown up. When I was in high-school, older high-schoolers looked so grown up. Even in college, high schoolers still looked pretty much grown. Now? They look like little kids! I wonder, too, if we acted more mature back then? Probably not, but I should hope so! Maybe my brain is just playing tricks on me and I'm getting old. But it was only 6 years ago (only...ha!) that I graduated high school. ::sigh:: I would talk a little bit more about some other observances, but Travis is banging a toy drum in my ear (he has good rhythm, by the way...wonder where he got that?), and I'm hoping to hear something from Michael very soon.

I will try to post again maybe tomorrow instead of waiting a WEEK!
